Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced and forward-thinking Product Director of Data / Machine Learning Operations to join our pioneering AI company. As the Director of Product, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our data and machine learning operations lifecycle including data integration, data processing, data management and analytics within the organization and for our customers. Your expertise will play a crucial role in defining our overall strategy, product offering and go to market strategy for data and machine learning operations In this role you will collaborate with research, partners and customers to deliver a complete scalable offering to support our Hybrid AI vision. 

Job Duties/Responsibilities   

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive data strategy that aligns with the company's overall business objectives and supports the machine learning needs of our products. 
  • Collaborate with a team data scientists, engineers, and analysts to define and develop ML operations capabilities that accelerate the delivery and simplify the management of machine learning models 
  • Collaborate with solution product managers, engineers, and customer stakeholders to define data ingestion and lifecycle management requirements that ensure the availability of high-quality unstructured and structured data for AI model training, validation and production use. 
  • Establish best practices for data collection, storage, preprocessing, and feature engineering to ensure the efficiency and accuracy of machine learning pipelines. 
  • Develop and maintain data governance and security protocols to safeguard sensitive information and comply with relevant regulations.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends and advancements in data management and machine learning operations, integrating relevant technologies and methodologies into our processes.
  • Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure the effectiveness and impact of machine learning models on product performance.
  • Provide strategic insights and recommendations to the executive team on leveraging data-driven insights to improve product features, user experience, and business outcomes. 
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for automation and optimization of processes through data analytics and machine learning. 

 Minimum Qualifications   

  • 10+ years of relevant experience with at least 7 in a management role.  
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or a related field.  MBA a plus.  
  • Proven experience in developing and delivering integration and data services   that enable internal development and B2B enterprise customers to deliver scalable solutions.  
  • Strong understanding of data management principles, data analytics, and machine learning development lifecycle.
  • Demonstrated track record of successfully delivering highly scalable integration and data ingestion solutions that span unstructured and structured data types.
  • Excellent leadership skills with the ability to guide and motivate teams to achieve goals.
  • Exceptional problem-solving capabilities and a strategic mindset.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills. 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's in business administration (MBA). 
  • Prior experience in data management and machine learning operations. 
  • Knowledge of integration, big data technologies and distributed computing frameworks for scalable data processing and management.
  • Experience with cloud-based data storage and computing platforms.
  • Familiarity with DevOps principles and tools for machine learning model deployment and monitoring.
  • Proven ability to leverage data-driven insights for product enhancement and business growth.
  • Prior experience in international business and managing global teams. 
The hiring range for this position in Glendale, CA is listed below as a yearly salary. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or company stock options may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.

$173,400$200,000 USD
