Job Duties/Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage the general accounting functions, including but not limited to accounts payable, accounts receivables, general ledger, inter-company transactions, and payroll.
  • Perform bank accounts reconciliations for various locations.
  • Prepare routine and non-routine journal entries.
  • Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Perform analytical review of month-end balance sheet and income statement fluctuations and submit to Head of Finance.
  • Responsible for payroll and supplier invoice payment processing.
  • Prepare monthly local consolidation pack in both US-GAAP and TW-GAAP standards.
  • Manage the fixed asset system for calculating additions, disposals, and depreciation.
  • Assess current procedures and recommend improvements of key processes and controls.
  • Prepare and submit Employer’s Return and other compliance reporting, as needed.
  • Coordinate with external auditors during the financial statement audit.
  • Prepare and file all required returns to both local tax authorities and other governing bodies.
  • Responsible for office procurement, monitor and controlling office expenses.
  • Negotiate and administer contracts with vendors, service providers, landlords, and other office counter-parties.
  • Ensure company operations comply with local authority legislation and policy or regulatory requirements specified by the US parent company.
  • Perform ad hoc analysis and projects as requested.
  • Support the operations of our teams in Taiwan.
  • Work closely with management or executive teams to share reports and analysis findings

Qualifications and Skills

  • Bachelor’s in Accounting or equivalent
  • Qualified accountant
  • 5+ years of progressive accounting/finance experience in MNCs/ sizable corporations, preferably with external audit experience in Big 4.
  • Solid understanding and knowledge of I-GAAP and TW-GAAP
  • Excellent analytical/financial literacy skills. 
  • Great attention to detail.
  • Ability to handle multi-tasks and respond effectively to unexpected changes and requests
  • Independent, hands-on, self-motivated, capable of handling tight timeline
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel.
  • Experience in using Oracle NetSuite is a must.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build and manage effective relationships with key stakeholders in both English & Chinese.
  • Good understanding of financial processes including financial closing and reporting, finance systems implementations including general ledger, sub-ledger, consolidation, reconciliation and reporting systems.
