Jordan Design and Development Bureau (JODDB) and Beyond Limits, a leading technology company specializing in Cognitive Artificial Intelligence (AI), have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to explore avenues of cooperation in the field of Artificial Intelligence, Advanced Technology, Security, and Strategic Solutions.
The MoU was signed by the CEO of JODDB, Brigadier General Engineer Ayman Al-Batran, and the CEO of Beyond Limits, Mr. Amjad Abdallat, on the 9th of August 2021.
During the signing ceremony, Brigadier General Ayman Al-Batran confirmed that the partnership with Beyond Limits reflects JODDB’s prioritization of fostering partnerships with the industrial sector as part of the Bureau’s strategic plan to enhance practical skills and encourage applied scientific research that directly supports the local industry, in addition to creating joint research projects and encouraging entrepreneurial ideas.
Together, JODDB and Beyond Limits aim to advance sustainability initiatives by optimizing infrastructure assets in utilities, improving fuel consumption and energy efficiency gains for power plants, and reducing operating costs through joint venture AI-driven projects. Beyond Limits’ AI technology will be deployed in applications across security, medical, and energy markets – as well as power scalable water solutions for agriculture in addition to localizing sensor networks for leak detection in water and gas distribution systems.
Brigadier General Ayman Al-Batran mentioned that the Bureau has a distinctive infrastructure that encourages innovation and scientific research – and qualifies employees with the necessary modern skills to develop the local industrial sector through advanced academic programs, such as the establishment of a highly qualified, certified, and advanced Cyber Security Academy that provides new training programs in this field.
Similarly, Mr. Amjad Abdallat expressed his excitement about the partnership with JODDB, as the Bureau is considered to be a leading scientific incubator in Jordan, having a distinguished scientific and practical reputation locally and regionally while also embracing various distinguished scientific competencies across different fields.
